Virtual BourBiz for everyone! The Veteran/Military Spouse Resource event will have the same ability to power network with so many resources. Come for the resources, stay for the motivation and inspiration during these COVID19 unique times. Registration required.

Virtual Coffee Connections

USO-Metro is offering Virtual Coffee Connections for Military Spouses next week! Spouses and community partners are invited to network socially and share resources and information. 

Daily Virtual Meditation

The Washington DC Veterans Affairs Medical Center Mental Health Department hosts a Daily Meditation and Coping Skills Call, Monday-Friday from 12:15 pm - 12:30 pm. A member of the Mental Health Team will guide callers through a different five to ten minute guided meditation each day. After the meditation, a daily coping skill or stress management tool will be discussed.

PTSD Symptom Management Virtual Program

The Lone Survivor Foundation has created a PTSD Symptom Management Virtual Program. It is a no-cost program that takes place via video conferencing over three days. Participants will have the opportunity to practice tools for stress relief and improved self-regulation, as well as check-in with a mental health clinician each day.

Virtual Ukulele Workshops

Have you always wanted to try the ukulele? Back by popular demand, the Veterans and the Arts Initiative is offering the Veteran community the opportunity to participate in a four-week, online series. Musicians of all skill levels are encouraged to participate in these virtual workshops. Participants must provide their own instruments. Sessions are FREE and open to Veterans, Servicemembers, their families, and military caregivers -- as well as current healthcare workers.

College Financial Aid Information Session

Join the VA ACME- Advisory Council on Military Education on how to Apply for Financial Aid: FAFSA. Learn the ins and outs for starting the FAFSA process, as well as some very helpful and unique tips for streamlining the process. Ask questions and direct answers from those who know the process best.
