Exciting News Regarding Network Expansion!
We have exciting news to share with you! As you may have heard, Kaiser Permanente has partnered with Unite Us to connect community-based organizations, health care providers, and public agencies in the Mid-Atlantic region. These efforts will expand the ServingTogether network and allow partners to serve a broader population, in addition to veterans and military families. This effort will bring in additional service providers to serve all community members in the Mid-Atlantic region, covering Northern VA, D.C., Suburban Maryland and Baltimore. The initiative is rolling out in a three-part phased approach that launches on June 23.
TAPS EQUINE THERAPY
TAPS is going to focus on those who are interested in learning more about equine therapy. They will talk with those who have experience in supporting others with this unique therapy with animals. This is a wonderful way to meet others with similar interests from the comfort of your home! If you do not have a camera, you have the option to call into the session and participate in the conversation.

Chesapeake Shakespeare Company is pleased to continue a partnership with the Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic to provide quality classes for adults and youth that explore Shakespeare for healing and wellness. This summer’s Shakespeare class will focus on how characters handle, overcome, and change themselves when faced with isolation and illness. Some with tragic, and others with comedic circumstances! Participants will analyze characters in extreme states of anxiety, depression, stress, and anger. What is our response, advice, and wish for these roles of classic stature?

Blue Star Families knows military families are routinely under stress through deployments and separations, and are familiar with uncertainty. The COVID-19 crisis is a universal stressor that has impacted all Americans – military, veteran, and civilian – simultaneously. Blue Star Families wants to know how military and veteran families are using their resilience to cope during these uncertain times. Valley Assistance Network and ServingTogether Announce New Collaboration to Serve Veterans
ServingTogether, a program of EveryMind is excited to announce that we are expanding our reach in conjunction with United Way of Northern Shenandoah Valley’s (UWNSV) Valley Assistance Network (VAN). With this collaboration, we are now able to serve our military and veteran community in the United Way of NSV’s region of Virginia including the communities of City of Winchester, Page County, Shenandoah County, Frederick County, and Clarke County. We will also be able to give our providers and clients in the National Capitol Region access and connection to resources in VAN’s growing Connect NSV network, a coordinated referral system also powered by Unite Us.
