ServingTogether hosts collaborative meetings in a variety of locations throughout the National Capital Region. With the current pandemic, all our collaboratives have shifted to virtual-only meetings, providing an easy accessible way for our community partners to continue to meet, network and socialize. With the virtual opportunity this allows organizations across regions to participate in any and all meetings regardless of location.

VIRGINIA TRANSITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM Weekly Virtual Office Hours
Virginia Department of Veteran Services invites transitioning service members, veterans, and military spouses to join the Virginia Transition Assistance Program's (VTAP) Regional Coordinators for weekly virtual office hours. Learn about your transition toolbox, navigating virtual workforce events and interviews, the dark side of transition: overcoming barriers, challenges, and dealing with "no", and transition questions and answers.
Weekly Virtual Pink & White Empowerment Lunch Series
The need to stay connected to your community, tribe, friends, and sisters in service has grown increasingly crucial during these unprecedented times, and Women Veterans Interactive understands this. Their Weekly Virtual Pink & White Empowerment Lunch Series includes a fun, virtual educational model with fantastic topics and outstanding speakers. Starting Monday, May 11, 2020, and every Monday through June 29, 2020, they invite all women veterans and military women to join for the 2020 Virtual Pink and White Empowerment Lunch Series.
Virtual Networking Dinner For Military Spouses
Join USO-Metro’s Project Next S.T.E.P. for a Virtual Networking Dinner highlighting career opportunities and hiring initiatives for active duty Military Spouses. Booz Allen Hamilton, PenFed, Lowe’s, Fairfax County Public Schools and Hiring Our Heroes Corporate Fellowship for Military Spouse Program are confirmed to participate. Open to all Active Duty, Reserve & National Guard Spouses.
Commonwealth’s Memorial Day Ceremony
The 2020 Commonwealth’s Memorial Day Ceremony will be presented as a “virtual” event. The half-hour ceremony will be live-streamed from the Memorial’s Shrine of Memory beginning at 10 a.m. E.D.T. on Monday, May 25. The public is invited to view this tribute to Virginia’s fallen heroes on social media and select broadcast television stations.
