This is a 45 minute class that addresses stress and how to manage it. In this class attendee's will learn about the science behind stress and the impact it can have on the body physically and mentally. They will discuss stress management tools, ineffective methods of stress management and lifestyle choices associated with increased resilience. Open to Active Duty Service Members of the armed forces and their dependents with valid military ID.

Veterans struggle with alcohol and drug use problems at higher rates than non-veterans. Some of these struggles are linked with higher rates of PTSD and other disorders. In this installment of the “Veterans’ Lived Experience” webinar series, George Mason’s Military, Veterans, & Families Initiative is partnering with the Veterans Health and Wellness Foundation are partnering to bring you personal stories of struggle with substance misuse, as well as resources and help from Dr. Patti Ferssizidis, a licensed clinical psychologist with expertise in substance use disorders prevention and treatment.
