Acting Ensemble Workshop for Veterans
This education program workshop is FREE for US veterans. Participants should be men and women, age 20 and over, who are veterans of the United States armed forces. Combat experience not required. Working with CSC Teaching Artists, the ensemble will explore Shakespeare's text for a specific theme related to their own stories of military service. This multi-week program will culminate in a performance for friends, family, and invited guests. No experience required!
Mental Health First Aid: Military/Veterans – Sept 26
The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Easterseals is partnering with ServingTogether, a program of EveryMind to offer a Mental Health First Aid: Military and Veteran Module 8 hour course. If you a veteran or an individual working with veterans in our community this is the training for you. This workshop is provided for FREE and lunch and refreshments will be provided. Vietnam Veteran Pinning Ceremony & Blue Water Navy Resource Fair – Aug 16
The Office of Congresswoman Jennifer Wexton will be hosting a Vietnam Veteran Pinning Ceremony and a Resource Fair for Vietnam Veterans. Though the fair is geared to assist all Vietnam Veterans, recent changes to federal law which allow “Blue Water Navy” Vietnam Veterans to file claims related to Agent Orange exposure will be a specific focus area for the fair. The event will take place at the Purcellville Baptist Church, in Purcellville, VA on Friday, August 16th from 10am-2pm. The pinning ceremony will take place between 10am-10:30am with the resource fair to follow directly afterward.
