We want to make it easy for our military, veterans and their families to connect to vital services. ServingTogether Peer Navigators are available Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 4:30 pm. Our online form is available 24/7. We continue to work remotely and to utilize our UniteUs platform to conduct intakes and make curated referrals to service organizations in the community.

COVID-19 Military Support Initiative

The Association of Defense Communities (ADC), Blue Star Families, and participants of the White Oak Collaborative are joining forces to create a united, national platform for sharing information, maintaining engagement, developing best practices and policy approaches to ensure our military receives the support it deserves.  The COVID-19 Military Support Initiative (CMSI) will provide resources and expertise to support communities, states and military families through this crisis.

Hire Heroes USA Webinar: Interviewing as a Military Spouse

Are you a military spouse who is struggling with interviewing? Do you feel like you might be saying the wrong things in an interview? Join Hire Heroes USA for a webinar featuring a panel of volunteers who can speak on what you should disclose in an interview and how you can talk about gaps in employment. They will be covering topics relating to interviewing.

TAPS TALKS: Chair Yoga & Movement Webinar

Join in for a free online TAPS Talk to support grieving, working, living and loving while physically distancing ourselves. Presented by the TAPS Institute for Hope and Healing®, this live connection with Emily Muñoz, TAPS Women's Empowerment Director, exercise movements that can be applied when you feel overwhelmed.

Prince George’s County Food Equity Council Update

The Prince George’s County Food Equity Council is hosting a virtual meeting on March 24 and provided a listing of food resources for residents in need in throughout County, especially the elderly and vulnerable populations. They also have information available for residents who are interested in volunteering.

ServingTogether continues to monitor the COVID-19 protocols put out by the CDC, DoD, Pentagon, and the 15 jurisdictions we serve. At this time and due to the virtual capabilities of the ServingTogether network, we do not anticipate a disruption of services in our coordination center and support network. Because COVID-19 response is fluid, please follow our FB page for updates to our providers’ response, increased needs in the community we serve, and ramping up of specific services. We invite you to share your updates with us for distribution. It is an honor to serve this community.

NAMI Homefront Registration Open

NAMI Homefront is a free, 6-session program for family, friends and significant others of military Service Members and Veterans. The class helps families understand what the Service Member/ Veteran is experiencing related to trauma, combat stress, civilian life transition, PTSD and other mental health conditions.

March is Brain Injury Awareness Month

The Department of Defense and the Military Health System recognizes March each year as Brain Injury Awareness Month to increase awareness of traumatic brain injuries, and the Department’s efforts to improve its ability to identify, care for, and treat service members and veterans who are affected by TBI.
