Melwood Launches abilIT Pilot Program

Melwood, one of the nation’s largest employers of people of differing abilities, is embarking on an innovative new project to provide cybersecurity and wraparound professional development training to injured veterans and people of differing abilities. Veterans Appreciation Day at Heavy Metal Playground

Veterans are invited to come out and experience the fun and excitement of playing on heavy equipment. This includes digging in the dirt, stacking tires and smashing cars! Join USO-Metro and Project Next S.T.E.P. for an information session with Troops to Teachers. Thursday, July 31st from 6:00-8:00 pm at the USO Warrior and Family Center at Fort Belvoir. Learn about the certification process and how you can continue to serve after your military career. Open to transitioning active duty service members including Guard and Reserves.
