22 March for Life is seeking persons interested in hosting a veteran or first responded this Thanksgiving Holiday.  The organization is also asking any veteran or first responder who has no where to go for the holiday to contact them to be matched with a host. Join Us for the Launch of ServingTogether’s Network in Prince George’s County

ServingTogether and The Prince George’s Office of Veteran Affairs have teamed up to hold the official launch of the ServingTogether Network and Veteran services in Prince George’s County on Tuesday, November 19th. Join Dr. Dula and Jennifer Watson as we officially roll out the ServingTogether network and launch the Operation Fresh Start campaign.

National Cathedral Tribute to Veterans

November 10 at 7PM please join Washington National Cathedral for our annual Veterans Concert and Tribute! The President’s Own Marine Chamber Orchestra will be accompanied by the Cathedral Choir to provide music to honor all those who have served. Speakers, including Tim Chambers, The Saluting Marine, and Michele S. Jones, the first woman in the United States Army Reserve to reach the position of Command Sergeant Major of the U.S. Army Reserve, will share their experiences and offer wisdom and reflections to inspire those in attendance. Free and open to the public, no RSVP required.

Veterans Resource Fair Hosted by Congressman Brown

Attend this event to learn about programs and resources available to assist veterans, including educational and employment opportunities. Friday, November 8th from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Wayne K. Curry Sports & Learning Center in Landover, MD.

The Veterans Art Show Accepting Submissions – Deadline 10/28

Veterans! Get your art together for exhibition in the upcoming Veterans Show at the Delaplaine Arts Center in Frederick Maryland. Deadline for submissions is Monday 10/28! Veteran artists are invited to submit one work of art for exhibition. All mediums are eligible. Not theme is required. All submissions will be included in the exhibition unless otherwise indicated by Delaplaine staff. The Veterans Show will take place November 2 - December 1, 2019.

DC Veterans Roundtable

The DC Mayor’s Office of Veterans Affairs (MOVA) hosts a monthly roundtable on Thursdays from 10:00am-12:00pm located at 441 4th St.NW. The next meeting will be on Thursday, 10/31. YOUR OPINION MATTERS! MOVA encourages any DC Veteran, Veteran family member or Veteran Service Provider to let your voice be heard! Registration is requested.

Tribute to America’s Veterans Concert 11/6

Mark Your Calendars for the 11th Annual Tribute to America's Veterans Concert with Chou Chou & the Imperial Palms! Wednesday, November 6th at 6PM at the Buffalo Soliders Great Hall in the Silver Spring Civic Building. The Montgomery County Commission on Veteran Affairs will  have a special tribute to those Veterans who were killed in action in Iraq and Afghanistan and to all who have served our country there and in all wars. The event is Free and everyone is welcome. 

Prince George’s County Veterans Resource Fair

Join County Executive Angela D. Alsobrooks, the Prince George's County Commission for Veterans and the Prince George's County Memorial Library System for the Prince George's County Maryland Veteran Resource Fair. The goal of this one day event is to connect veterans and their families to services and to strengthen veteran support within Prince George's County.  The event is free and  is open to veterans, military member, families, caregivers, veteran service organizations and providers.  Saturday, October 19, 2019 from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm at the Oxon Hill Branch Library in Oxon Hill, MD.
