Fort Belvoir Collaborative – Spiritual Wellness Discussion – Dec 14

The Fort Belvoir Collaborative will meet on Thursday, December 14 from 12 - 2 pm at the USO on Fort Belvoir (5940 9th Street, Fort Belvoir, VA 22060). We will be having 3 presenters available to discuss spiritual wellness programs available for military and veterans and are wanting to ask for your input on the military/veterans you are working with.

Wreaths Across America – Dec 16

Join Blue Star Families and many others to remember our fallen heroes, honor those who serve, and teach the value of freedom by volunteering at Arlington National Cemetery. Blue Star Families will be participating in Wreaths Across America on Saturday, December 16th, at 8:30 a.m. If you aren't familiar with Wreaths Across America, you will help lay wreaths on all of the grave sites of those who have served our country. There is no age limit to volunteer, and we encourage families to come and share the experience.

Tribute Display of Military Children and their Parents

The City of Manassas will partner with the Military Child Education Coalition, to showcase the brave sons and daughters of military parents at our feature train show “Polar Express at Merry Old Town Manassas” held at the Center for the Arts, in recognition of these special families and their contributions. Perhaps you are a military family or know of a family deserving of this honor. If so, please send a photo that shows heartfelt emotion of a family that means the most to you to display. Deadline for submission is December 1.

November 4th at the Martinsburg VA Medical Center. An event to provide medical screenings, employment support and housing services to eligible homeless veterans. 9am-2pm.

George C Marshall High School Veterans Day Field of Honor

On Nov 9 - 13th, George C. Marshall High School's Class of 2019 will celebrate the Veterans Day holiday by creating a Field of Honor in front of the high school along Route 7. We invite you to support the Field of Honor and the class of 2019 by sponsoring a flag(s) to honor the men and women who have served in the U.S. military. For each flag sold, GCM will make a donation to ServingTogether and can send an e-card to the family or the honoree to let them know they have been honored with a photo of the Field of Honor.

Hero's Bridge will be holding an informative presentation on the History and Care of Aging Veterans on Tuesday, October 12 at 5 pm at PATH Foundation in Warrenton, VA.
