Montgomery County COAD Stop the Bleed Training
Stop the Bleed is a national awareness campaign and call-to-action to encourage bystanders to become trained, equipped, and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives. The Montgomery County Office of Emergency and Homeland Security is offering a Stop The Bleed training at The Steven A. Cohen Military and Family Clinic at Easterseals in Silver Spring on Thursday, March 14th from 3:00-4:00 PM. This is a free training. Registration is required.

Caregiver Resources Lunch & Learn March 21st
This workshop will cover resources for individuals who are caring for military service members and veterans. Topics will also include warning signs that a military service member or veteran may be in crisis. A discussion of resources will include Coaching into Care, the VA Caregiver Support Program, as well as State and Nonprofit resources. The fellowship supports Tillman Scholars with academic scholarships, a national network, and professional development opportunities so they are empowered to make an impact in the fields of medicine, law, business, policy, technology, education and the arts. In addition to step-by-step enrollment instructions, the kit also lists points of contact for dozens of VA program offices.
