Team GCO and VSRG ( 501(c)(3) is excited to announce the 1st Annual Female Veteran/Military Spouses Empowerment & Resource Dinner on March 22nd. This dinner who is hosted by WJLA Sports Anchor Erin Hawksworth and Key Notes to be delivered by the incredible MAJ Jas Boothe and Redskins Charitable Foundation Executive Director Jane Rodgers will be a closed dinner and networking forum for women veteran and military spouses to have access to prominent community and female business leaders provide and personal and professional development resources.

Veterans Clinic Conference: Feb 28 – Mar 1

NLSVCC 2018 Conference will be February 28 – March 1 in Washington, DC (Offices of McDermott Will & Emery - 500 North Capitol Street, NW). The NLSVCC is a collaborative effort of the nation’s law school legal clinics dedicated to addressing the unique legal needs of U.S. military veterans on a pro bono basis. This conference is for both new and advanced practitioners.  Come learn how to start a pro bono Veterans Clinic!

2018 Military Sexual Trauma Summit April 18

The Veterans Mental Health Advisory Council, in collaboration with DCVAMC Mental Health department, and the MST coordinator, Dr. Tsila Kirsh, is planning an MST Summit to be held on 4/18/2018. The objectives of the MST Summit include: educating participants about the prevalence of MST and how the VA responds to MST; increasing awareness of the available VA and community resources and different modalities of care for Veterans experiencing mental and physical health challenges as a result of MST; and educating participants about the challenges service members face when deciding whether to report assault. Registration is required.

American Legion 2018 Winter Conference & Career Event – Feb 23

Join Hiring Our Heroes at the American Legion 2018 Winter Conference & Career Event for free workshop sessions focused on resume building, networking, interviewing, and financial literacy, followed by a networking lunch that will feature a panel discussion on employment topics and best practices. Open House for Warrior Retreat at Bull Run – Feb 4

Serve Our Willing Warriors will be holding an Open House for their Warrior Retreat at Bull Run on Sunday, February 4 from 1 - 3 pm.

DC National Cathedral Special Events – Feb 3

The DC National Cathedral will host some special events for veterans and military members on Saturday, February 3. Including a healing pilgrimage for veterans and military community members and a community conversation discussing the spiritual wellbeing for veterans and military families. Free and open to the public. Registration required.
