Veterans Healing Through Connection

A therapeutic couples retreat offered at no cost to ALL current and former service members (Active Duty • Reservists • Veterans • Retired). Open to any committed couple, regardless of marital status.

NOW ENROLLING: NAMI Homefront Online 

Registration is now open for NAMI Homefront Online Courses beginning in January 2020. NAMI Homefront is a free, 6-session program for family, friends and significant others of military Service Members and Veterans. The class helps families understand what the Service Member/ Veteran is experiencing related to trauma, combat stress, civilian life transition, PTSD and other mental health conditions. Registration is required.

Veterans and the Arts Initiative Spring 2020 Programs

Spring 2020 Programs are now open for registration for Hylton Performing Arts Veterans and the Arts Initiative. Programs including Dominion Energy Veterans Guitar Workshops, Exploring Self & Social Identity with Women Veterans, Drawing from Photographs, and Ukulele Workshop Series.

The Healing Farm: Open House

The Healing Farm, a proud PATH Member Center serving the Central and Southern Maryland for over 13 years, is excited to kick-off our brand-new Equines for the Military programming, offered free of charge through Spring 2020! Open House being held on January 25 from 3-5 pm in Upper Marlboro, MD.

Freer|Sackler Family Day with Hokusai

Blue Star Families invites you to attend a family workshop and tour of the new Hokusai Exhibit at Freer|Sackler! The workshop, The Art of Japanese Fabric Wrapping, will give you the opportunity to make a furoshiki wrapping cloth. Saturday, January 11th from 2:00-4:00 PM in Washington DC. Open to active-duty personnel, Guard, Reserves, veterans, wounded warriors, caregivers, EFMP members, and their families. Space is limited. Registration is required.

Veterans Open House Jan 12

Veterans, Military Personnel, Family and Friends are Warmly Invited to an Evening of Food, Fellowship, and Storytelling hosted by The Veterans & Military Ministry of Blessed Sacrament Parish. Sunday, January 12th from 5:00-8:00 PM in Washington DC. The Parish will also be collecting gloves and reading glasses for veterans receiving outpatient services at the VA Hospital in Washington, DC.

Wounded Warrior Project Program Briefing Dec 19th

Join the Steven A Cohen Military Family Clinic at Easterseal and the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) on Thursday, December 19th from 12:00-1:00 PM to learn more about Wounded Warrior Programs.  WWP connects warriors, their families and caregivers to peers, programs and communities to ensure they have a network of support. Veteran Pop Ups are the first premier event of its kind, showcasing veteran businesses to the community through a pop-up shopping model. Join Veterans Grow Virginia on December 14 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm for the 1st Annual Veteran Business Holiday Pop-Up Shop featuring Veteran and their spouse owned businesses! Mix and mingle, while enjoying a nice cup of “Joe” as you pick up those special holiday gifts!

Boulder Crest Retreat Open House Dec 14

Every year, Boulder Crest Retreat Virginia hosts an open house for visitors, volunteers, and community members to see the grounds decorated for the holiday season! Join them for holiday cookies, live music, crafts, and refreshments! Following tradition, they will also be showing their deep appreciation for the volunteers who make their work possible. This event is FREE,  please RVSP to help get an accurate head count for food and drinks!
