Veterans of Afghanistan and Iraq Conflicts (VAIC) Scholarship Program

The Veterans of the Afghanistan and Iraq Conflicts Scholarship Program 2018-2019 Application Available Now in MDCAPS (Maryland College Aid Processing System).  This scholarship is designed to provide financial assistance to United States armed forces personnel who served in the Afghanistan or Iraq Conflicts, and their sons, daughters, or spouses who are current high school seniors, and full-time or part-time, degree-seeking undergraduate students enrolled in an eligible accredited Maryland postsecondary institution.

This dinner who is hosted by WJLA Sports Anchor Erin Hawksworth and Key Notes to be delivered by the incredible MAJ Jas Boothe and Redskins Charitable Foundation Executive Director Jane Rodgers will be a closed dinner and networking forum for women veteran and military spouses to have access to prominent community and female business leaders provide and personal and professional development resources.

Dog Tag Inc. Summer 2018 Fellowship Program is now open for applications. Do you know any entrepreneurially-minded service-disabled veteran, military spouse, and/or caregiver? Through an intensive five-month program, Dog Tag Inc. provides participants with a transformative opportunity: an education through Georgetown University and experiential learning in our small business venture, Dog Tag Bakery. Upon completion of the fellowship program, fellows are business ready, competitive, and employable.

Project Horse Empowerment Center in Purcellville, VA will be hosting a Warrior Herd Couples Workshop on Saturday, January 13 from 1 - 3 pm. Warrior Herd™ is comprised of 12 monthly wellness groups to support and enhance the interpersonal relationships between veterans and members of their families. Parenting Skills Group offered at Cohen Clinic at EasterSeals

The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Easterseals has started a Parenting Skills Group. It is now open for enrollment for military and veteran families. No cost. Free parking. Project Next S.T.E.P. will be holding a Linked In Workshop for Military Spouses on Thursday, January 18 at the Microsoft Store Theater in Tysons Corner Mall. Attendees will learn how to strategically create a compelling profile of capabilities and accomplishments, gain an understanding of how to grow their professional reach and learn how their profile is only somewhat similar to their resume.
