Mind Body Workshop at March 21st Collaborative Meeting

This meeting has been canceled due to inclement weather.  Please join us for our next Montgomery County Veterans Collaborative Meeting on Wednesday, May 16th.  

 

We are excited to announce that the next meeting of the Montgomery County Veterans Collaborative will be a special Mind-Body Workshop put on by the America Red Cross.  This event will take the place of our regularly scheduled meeting.  Space is limited to 20 and registration is required to attend.  Please see below for date/time and location details (please note the location change is for this meeting only.)

The American Red Cross presents Mind-Body Workshops

Improving wellness and managing stress using the mind, body and spirit

The American Red Cross is dedicated to supporting service members, veterans and their families to manage the stresses of military life. Through the creation of Mind-Body Workshops, the Red Cross teaches easy-to-use skills that connect the body with the mind to help participants cope with stress and trauma. Workshops are free and offered in small groups by licensed mental health professionals.

 

Introduction to Mind-Body Skills

This module offers an introductory look into mind-body techniques. The mind-body skills taught in this module are:

 

Breathing

Mindfulness Techniques

Stretching and Movement

Body Awareness and Functioning

Guided Imagery
