Our very own co-chair, Tom Grant, will be leading up the meeting on May 2 to discuss several important topics and concepts. We encourage as wide of attendance as possible for this meeting.
Here are some of the details from Tom:
It has been seven months since I came into this position and I thought it was time to share the attached information paper with you all. The paper outlines the position’s mission, some of our accomplishments and perhaps most importantly, our proposed goals for the next year.
One of my main objectives at the May meeting will be to introduce the concept of a Loudoun County Community Veterans Engagement Board (CVEB) – one of our six strategic goals. I have also included two papers which introduce and outline the CVEB concept for you (CVEB model, CVEB overview – click each to download). Doug Webb from the VA will be working with us on this CVEB concept as will our partners, Mike and Christy, from ServingTogether.
Lastly, I would like to encourage each of you to send a representative to the May meeting – someone who can take back information to the larger group. I look forward to your comments and discussing this with you all. As always, I am available to come to your post meetings to brief your members. Please feel free to share these documents as you see fit.
