Join us as we celebrate the official launch of our powerful network of support for veterans, service members and their families. As part of this celebration, we will be honoring and recognizing those who have helped make this possible. Thursday, May 31. 4 - 7 pm. Women in Military Service for America Memorial in Arlington, VA.

Memorial Day Field of Honor at George C Marshall High School

For Memorial Day weekend, George C. Marshall High School's Class of 2019 will create a Field of Honor in front of the high school along Route 7.  We invite you to support the Field of Honor and the class of 2019 by sponsoring a flag (s) to honor the men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice while serving in the U.S. military or to recognize the service of a veteran or an active duty service member.

Caregiver Roundtable – Hidden Heroes Voices

Join the Elizabeth Dole Foundation and the DC Mayor's Office of Veterans Affairs on May 22nd in Washington DC to kick off Hidden Heroes Voices; a series of roundtables focused on creating real change for military and veteran caregivers and their families. Registration is required.

Hope and Healing – A spiritual open house for Veterans

Hope and Healing: A Spiritual Open House for Veterans will be held at Washington National Cathedral Sundays: May 27, and June 24, 1-4pm at The Center for Prayer and Pilgrimage and chapels on the lower level.

Family Retreat – June 8-10

Virginia Department of Veteran Services Virginia Veteran and Family Support will be holding a Mission: Healthy Families Family Retreat June 8-10 at Williamsburg Christian Retreat Center in Toano, VA. FREE event. Registration deadline: May 25.

Warrior Herd: Private Family Workshops June 2 & 9

Project Horse Empowerment Center will hold 2 upcoming Warrior Herd sessions in June on the 2nd and 9th from 10 am - 11:30 am. These are private family sessions for military, veterans and their families. Simple online application due 7 days prior to session.

Virginia Women Veterans Summit – June 14 & 15

2018 Virginia Women Veterans Summit will be held Thursday and Friday June 14 & 15 at the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center. This event brings together veterans, community leaders, employers, and government agencies from the federal, state, and local levels to raise awareness about the services and benefits offered specifically for women veterans. The summit will also host exhibitors whose mission involves the wellness and wholeness of women veterans and feature notable presenters.

Military Spouse Hiring Reception May 31st

Join Hiring Our Heroes and Military Corps Career Connect (C3) to network with vetted employers, community leaders, senior military spouses, and other job seekers. Gain valuable insight on career planning and how to stand out as a candidate. Bring your resume and get ready to put your best foot forward with employers who want to hire you. Thursday, May 31st from 7:00-9:00pm at the USO Warrior and Family Center in Bethesda, MD. This event is free and is open to all military, veteran, and Gold Star spouses, as well as employers and service organizations. Service members and veterans are also welcome. Registration is required.
