The Steven A Cohen Military Family Clinic at Easterseals in Silver Spring, MD is offering a FREE Disability Benefits Clinic every Wednesday in August from 10:00 AM to 6:00PM. Meet with trained nationally accredited claims experts this Wednesday, August 21st to learn how to properly file a fully developed claim for disability benefits. Space is limited and registration is required.
Welcome Home Benefits Fair
Saturday, July 27th from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm at the Washington DC Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Join a host of government and community partners together as they offer assistance to all veterans and transitioning service members. This is a free event. Registration is recommended.
VA Women’s Health Transition Training
Tuesday, July 23rd at the VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Montgomery County. Join AMVETS and the VA for a women Veteran-led training covering topics such as Transformed VA Culture, Range of VA Women's Health & Mental Health Services, VA Health Care Eligibility and Enrollment and much more. This training is for active duty service women who plan to transition to civilian, Reserves, National Guard or veteran status in 2019 or 2020. It is also open to any female veteran who has not enrolled in VA medical care. Registration is required.

Stars and Stripes Night with Frederick Keys
Join Coalition to Salute America's Heroes on July 3rd at Stars and Stripes Night with the Frederick Keys vs. the Lynchburg Hillcats. The Stars and Stripes night at the ballpark will feature special military and veteran programming including Fireworks, Patriotic Hat Auction, and Fundraising for Heroes. Each ticket purchased for this game donates a ticket to a local veteran, active duty military or first responder. Free Dental Care for Veterans
Aspen Dental is offering free dental care for veterans on their Day of Service, Saturday, June 8th from 9am-3pm. There are several participating dental practices all over the National Capital Region. Appointments required. Beginning May 1st you can call 844-ASPEN-HMM to find location and make appointments.
Discharge Upgrade & Medical Retirement Clinic
On Thursday, May 9th (9am - 3pm) @ 441 4th St NW - Suite #707N, the DC Mayor's Office of Veterans Affiars (MOVA) is hosting the National Veterans Legal Services Program DD-214 Upgrade Review and Medical Retirement Legal Clinic, conducted by licensed attorneys. If you have questions about your discharge status or whether you qualify for medical retirement, come out to this event. Appointments available and walk-ins welcome.
