  • Project Homeless Connect – Oct 19

    On October 19, 2017, United Way NCA will present Project Homeless Connect, a one-day resource fair. This special event will provide on-site medical and dental care, and access to housing, employment and other vital services to people in our community who are experiencing homelessness. Project Homeless Connect will be held at Kennedy Recreation Center (1401 7th St NW, Washington, DC 20001)

  • U.S. VETS Washington D.C. Stand-Down – Sept 13

    U.S. VETS in Washington, D.C. will be holding a Stand-Down event on September 13 from 12 – 4 pm at 152 Wayne Place SE Washington, D.C. 20032.

  • Loudoun Launches Coordinated Entry System

    Loudoun County’s Continuum of Care has launched a Coordinated Entry System (CES) Intake Line for homeless services for emergency shelters, homeless prevention and diversion and rapid re-housing. CES Intake Line is available at (703)777–0420 from Monday – Friday 8:00AM – 4:00PM.

    Loudoun County Veterans Collaborative on July 12, 2017 will feature a topic-driven discussion on housing for veterans in Loudoun County.

  • Volunteer for 2017 Point In Time Survey on January 25th and 26th

    Help the effort to end homelessness in Montgomery County, MD. Volunteers needed to participate in Point in Time Survey, January 25th and January 26th. Registration and training is required.

  • NPR: Trouble Finding Housing

    NPR shared a story December 23rd about the issues that many homeless veterans face when seeking housing. Even with a government funded housing voucher, many veterans have a difficult time identifying a landlord who will rent a unit to them.

  • HUD Reports Decline in Homelessness

    On November 19th, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), released their ‘2015 Annual Homeless Assessment Report (AHAR) to Congress.’ The report is based on the agency’s annual Point-in-Time estimates that are conducted in January.
