  • VAREP DC Chapter Networking Mixer – Sept 12, 19 & 26

    VAREP D.C. Chapter will be hosting a networking mixer and fundraiser at Not Your Average Joe’s Kitchen & Bar in Potomac Town Place in Woodbridge, VA on Sept 12, 19 & 26 from 4 – 7 pm. Join them for networking, drinks, appetizers, and raffles! Portion of the proceeds help pay local veteran families housing needs.

  • Blue Star Caregivers Community Family Event

    Join fellow Caregivers and their families on an exclusive tour of the exterior of the Washington National Cathedral. Saturday, October 21st from 2:30-4:30pm. Registration is required.

  • Wills for Vets

    The Prince William Agency on Aging, partnership with the Prince William Bar Association is once again sponsoring a “Wills for Veterans” Program. The Prince William Bar Association will be drafting 1) Will and Testaments, 2) Power of Attorneys, and 3) Medical Directives for the Veteran (and their spouse/caregiver) in the Tri-jurisdictional areas of PWC, Manassas, and Manassas Park -FREE! All veterans are encouraged to participate who do not have a Will, Power of Attorney and/or Medical Directives. Space is limited to the first 80 veterans/spouses who sign-up w/ an RSVP to guarantee participation.

  • Free Writing Workshop for Veterans at Montgomery County Public Libraries

    Montgomery County Public Libraries (MCPL) is offering a free six-session workshop open for veterans, service members, and their adult family members. The six-session workshop will take place at the Rockville Memorial library, 21 Maryland Ave., Rockville, on Saturdays, September 30, October 7, 14, 21, 28 & November 4 1:00 to 3:00 pm. Registration is required.

  • Job Fair – Winchester, VA – Oct 23

    VFW Post 2123 and the VEC have joined together to put on a job fair on October 23rd at the National Guard Armory, 181 Pendleton Drive, Winchester VA from 10 AM to 4 PM. Veterans are encouraged to attend.

  • Loudoun Salute to Military, Veterans and their families – Oct 28

    The Loudoun Salute to Military, Veterans and their families will be held on Saturday, October 28 from 10:30 – 4 pm with special entertainment from 12 – 1 pm at Stone Bridge High School in Ashburn, VA.

  • Special Presentation: Bridging the Veteran and Non-Veteran World – β€œIs Anyone Listening?”

    The Montgomery County Commission on Veterans Affairs Presents a screening & post screening discussion of “Is Anybody Listening?” Tuesday, September 19th 6-8pm in Rockville MD. Free and open to the public.

  • Project Homeless Connect – Oct 19

    On October 19, 2017, United Way NCA will present Project Homeless Connect, a one-day resource fair. This special event will provide on-site medical and dental care, and access to housing, employment and other vital services to people in our community who are experiencing homelessness. Project Homeless Connect will be held at Kennedy Recreation Center (1401 7th St NW, Washington, DC 20001)

    Weekly Adaptive Tennis Clinic for Wounded Service Members to Honor Military Families Through the Sport of Tennis. Fridays from 11:00am to 12:30pm. Washington DC.

  • Rally in the Valley October 21, 2017

    Join Platoon 22 at Rally in the Valley 2017 on October 21, 2017 at the Frederick Fairgrounds! For one day thousands unite to raise awareness and support our veterans. Tickets can be purchased ahead of time for this fundraising event.
