  • Chat ‘n’ Chew with Martinsburg VA Medical Center Transition & Care Management Clinic

    The Martinsburg VA Medical Center, Transition and Care Management (TCM) Post 9/11 department will be hosting a series of Chat ‘N’ Chew discussion groups; to better understand the changing and unique needs of Post 9/11 Veterans and their families.

  • DC Small Business Boot Camp – Sept 25

    The DC Mayor’s Office of Veterans Affairs (MOVA) and the Veterans Business Outreach Center (VBOC) at Community Business Partnership are pleased to offer a one day intensive Small Business Boot Camp designed to introduce prospective entrepreneurs to the fundamentals of small business start-up and to help you determine the feasibility of your business idea. Monday, September 25 from 9 am – 5 pm at the DC Mayor’s Office of Veteran Affairs in Washington, D.C. Seating is limited to members of the military community who are interested in starting and growing their small business. Members of the service professions (CPAs, attorneys, real estate agents, financial representatives, etc.) who wish to do business with Veterans will not be admitted.

  • New Virginia Military and Veteran Legal Resource Guide

    Attorney General Mark R. Herring today launched the Virginia Military and Veteran Legal Resource Guide, a new tool to help Virginia servicemembers, military families, and veterans utilize the unique legal protections, rights, and resources available to them under the law. Volunteer attorneys from the Office of Attorney General spent more than a year developing the new guide which is available at www.VaMilGuide.com and will be distributed in hard copy and electronically in conjunction with the Virginia Department of Veterans Services, veterans’ service organizations, and more.

  • Free Dental Treatment Day for Veterans – October 14

    FREE Dental Treatment Day for Veterans in Leesburg, VA on Saturday, October 14. This includes a complimentary comprehensive exam & cleaning or a Doctor consultation.
    The first 25 people who call and mention Veterans’ Event will receive a Complimentary Comprehensive Exam & Cleaning or Doctor Consultation on October 14, 2017.

  • Guitar Lessons with Glen McCarthy – Free for Military & Veterans!

    Hylton Performing Arts Center will be holding Guitar Lessons with Glen McCarthy on Tuesdays from September 5 through November 5 from 7 – 8 pm. FREE for Veterans, Servicemembers, their families, and military caregivers.

  • Fort Belvoir Retiree Appreciation Day – Sept 8

    Fort Belvoir’s Retiree Appreciation Day will be held on Friday, September 8 from 8 am – 3 pm. Retirees and dependents from all branches of service are welcome! Featuring a health and resource fair, subject matter experts, cake cutting and much more! Free light breakfast and lunch included! Also featuring a 3D Digital Mammography Van!

  • Heroes Walk to Fly 5K September 17th

    This inspirational 1.5 mile walk and Community Block Party, sponsored by SAIC, welcomes Luke’s Wings’ supporters and beneficiaries to celebrate our wounded service members’ milestones. Starting next to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, walkers will enjoy festivities including breakfast, energy snacks by KIND, a yoga warm-up, live music, t-shirt pick-up and more!

  • Student Veteran Career Conference – Sept 11 & 12

    The Region 2 Student Veteran Conference will be held on Mon, Sep 11, 2017 – Tue, Sep 12, 2017 at the Embassy Suites in Arlington VA (1300 Jefferson Davis Hwy. Arlington, VA 22202). Student Veteran Career Conferences are physical and virtual events designed to connect corporate and government university recruiters with student veterans and military students (Active, ROTC, Guard, Reserve).
