    Mission BBQ is providing a free meal on Thursday, December 7th, Pearl Harbor Day for World War II veterans.

  • Reveille Connect – Dec 12

    Reveille Connect is a breakfast networking opportunity hosted by the Greater Springfield Chamber’s Veterans committee. It’s for Veteran entrepreneurs, our military community (including spouses!) and Veterans in the workplace. Come for the networking. Enjoy some breakfast. Learn from our speaker. Tuesday, December 12th from 7:30-9:00am at Community Business Partnership in Springfield, VA. Cost: $10.

  • District of Columbia Veterans Appreciation Employment Expo 11/30

    A District of Columbia Department of Employment Services (DOES) VETERANS ONLY “Employment Fair” with an assembly of veteran friendly Employers, Apprenticeship programs and Training vendors seeking to hire and or train veterans in their respective organizations. An opportunity for veterans seeking employment, apprenticeship information and or training/vocational certifications a platform and format to meet their employment goals. Preregistration is required.

  • Veteran Employment Transition Summit (VETS) – Dec 6 & 7

    Veteran Employment Transition Summit (VETS) will be held on December 6 & 7th at Fort Belvoir Community Center beginning at 8:30 am each day. December 6th will feature American Dream U Entrepreneur Summit from 9 am – 1:30 pm followed by Hiring Our Heroes and a Career Networking Social. December 7th will include the Hiring Event sponsored by VEI, DVS and V3. Open to Military, spouses, veterans and civilians.

  • ServingTogether Kicks Off New Community Partnership with IVMF

    On Monday, November 13th Serving Together, a program of EveryMind announced a new community partnership with the Institute of Veterans and Military Families’ at Syracuse University (IVMF).

  • 2017 Joy of Giving Program

    Operation Homefront is working with local businesses and corporations that are looking to sponsor military families and Post 9/11 wounded, injured, or ill veterans in DC/MD/VA. If interested an application is required. Submission deadline is November 22.

  • Vetoga – Veterans Class – Nov 26

    VETOGA’s mission is to provide yoga, meditation, and healing arts to military, veterans, their families, and communities. They hold FREE monthly yoga classes. Their next class is Sunday, November 26 from 12 – 1 pm in Occoquan, VA. Registration required.

  • MOVA Launches Pilot Transportation Program

    The Mayor’s Office on Veterans Affairs (“MOVA”) is launching a pilot transportation program for District of Columbia (DC) veterans with the Department of For-Hire Vehicles. Residency and income restrictions apply.

  • Military & Veteran Caregiver Wellness Workshop – Nov 17

    Hope for the Warriors will be hosting a Military & Veteran Caregiver Wellness Workshop on Friday, November 17 from 9 am – 3:30 pm in Lorton, VA. Workshop is open to military caregivers of post 9/11 service members and veterans.
