  • Save the Date – Annual VA Mental Health Summit 9/12/17

    This year’s summit will focus on Justice Involved veterans. We hope to bring together mental health providers from the community and the VA, along with select members of law enforcement, including judges and police. Registration is open and required.

  • DC VA Medical Center’s Welcome Home Event – June 6

    Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and the Washington DC Veterans Affairs Medical Center partner to invite you to a Welcome Home Event! Tuesday, June 6, 2017 from 12:30 – 3:30 p.m. at Naval Support Activity Bethesda, 8901 Wisconsin Avenue, Bethesda, MD 20889 in the Morale, Welfare & Recreation Gym, Building 17, First Floor. An appreciation event to honor recently returned combat-OEF/OIF/OND/OIR Veterans, active duty service members, their families,as well as, Veterans of all eras. Lunch, Information on Services and Benefits, and a Relaxation Corner will be provided. We will also be visited by Retired NFL Players.

  • DC VA Town Hall Meeting May 3rd

    The American Legion invites all D.C. area veterans and their family members to a town hall meeting 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3, inside of the auditorium at the VA Hospital, 50 Irving Street NW, Washington, D.C. to discuss their VA care.

  • Conference: Building Collaborative Communities in Maryland

    June 14, 2017 in Arnold, MD. A free conference for those who serve service members, veterans and their families. Registration is required.

  • Veteran Public Forum May 16th

    The Capitol Network Veterans Engagement Board will host a veteran public forum on May 16th at 1:30pm in Arlington VA. Let your voice be heard and be part of the process to improve the overall quality of life for Veterans.

    Fort Belvoir Spring Career Fair on Thursday, April 27 from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm at Fort Belvoir Community Center (10300 Taylor Rd, Fort Belvoir, VA 22060). Open to: Transitioning Service Members, Veterans, Retirees, Military Spouses, and DoD ID Holders. 9:00 am – 10:00 am Wounded Warriors Only.

    Saturday April 22, 2017. 10:00am – 4:00pm, Annapolis High School. OPEN to YOU and the 53,448 veterans of Anne Arundel County… Army, Marines, Air Force,
    Navy and Coast Guard veterans, family members & friends of veterans, and businesses that serve veterans!

  • Identifying Depression Reconnection Workshop April 24th

    Presented by The American Red Cross on April 24th from 10:45 am to 12:15 pm. Free. Registration is required.

  • Mental Health First Aid: Military and Veterans – May 1

    Serving Together, a program of EveryMind will be hosting an 8 hour Adult Mental Health First Aid training program with a focus on assisting military service members, veterans and their families on Monday, May 1, 2017 from 8:30 am – 5:30 pm at American Red Cross Regional Headquarters (8550 Arlington Blvd. Fairfax, VA 22031). The workshop is FREE for military, veterans, their families and those who work or support them. Lunch and refreshments will be provided for attendees.
