Free Virtual Expungement Clinic

Cornerstone Montgomery and Maryland Legal Aid will be hosting a virtual expungement clinic this Friday, 11/6, from 9:30 am to 2:45 pm. Community members are invited to reserve a time to meet with legal aid staff and learn about criminal record expungement. Financially eligible attendees may be able to have their records expunged.

VAMC 12th Annual HeroHaven Homeless Veterans Stand Down

All HeroHaven 2020 activities will be held outside at the front entrance of the Martinsburg VA Medical Center, bldg. 500. There are no inside activities. The goal is for homeless Veterans to STOP at the Stand Down areas, they will DROP off information/resources and items to them and the Veteran will ROLL out.

Workhouse Military in the Arts Initiative: MINDFULNESS AND STRESS REDUCTION

This two-session class will examine the use of several powerful tools, including Mindfulness Meditation, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), and the Heart Coherence procedure from the HeartMath Institute. These techniques aim to reduce components of debilitating stress.

Virtual Women Veterans Peer Support Groups

Virtual Women Veterans Peer Support Groups foster support for their members by encouraging self- reliance, self- advocacy, and progression towards behavioral health wellness goals. They provide a relaxed and confidential in which to share past military and current transitional experiences with other veterans to effectively address the needs of the Veteran, National Guard, and Reservist communities.

Workhouse Military in the Arts Initiative Veterans Open Studio

WMAI provides free, weekly Open Studio opportunities that are exclusive to the military community for veterans to explore their creativity through structured and open-ended art experiences such as painting, sculpture, and drawing. Open Studio occurs every Saturday from 12-3 PM in Warrior Way Art Studio in Building W-16.

Join the USO and Lowe’s for a series of virtual sessions to explore the skilled trades. Hear from veterans who have successfully transitioned to the trades industry and learn how to get started with training and apprenticeship opportunities.
