Effective Communication Workshop

Please join the American Red Cross on April 16 for for a virtual Effective Communication Workshop that teaches the skills needed to achieve effective communication styles through non-verbals, seeking clarification, self-reflection, “I” statements and other activities for service members, veterans and their families. This will be a live, facilitated discussion. You will have an opportunity to share with others, learn and practice new skills and ask questions in a small online group. We invite you to join us on video and audio for a 90 minute conversation with a Red Cross mental health volunteer and other members of your community.

It is a pleasure to announce a great resource for Veterans and first responders has come to Loudoun County - The Loudoun County Chapter of Warriors Anonymous. They will begin holding meetings starting on 1 April 2021.  Meetings will be held in-person at the Loudoun Club 12 location on Sycolin Rd, Leesburg, every Tuesday and Thursday at 7:00PM.

SAVE LIVES Act allows VA to soon provide COVID-19 vaccinations to all Veterans, their spouses and caregivers

President Joe Biden signed the SAVE LIVES Act into law, expanding VA’s legal authority to provide COVID-19 vaccines to all Veterans, regardless of their VA health care enrollment status, as well as Veteran spouses, caregivers and some beneficiaries. 

Family Peer Support Partner Services

Family Peer Support Partners (FPSPs) are trained parents and caregivers who use their personal experience to offer support for parents and caregivers of youth diagnosed with mental health or substance use. FPSPs understand first-hand the challenges families may experience because they have navigated mental health and substance use systems with their own child. They have been trained to support families like yours.
