Warriors to Workforce – Oct 14-16

The event will bring together major companies from throughout the country to profile their services and provide employment opportunities for our Veterans, transitioning service members and military spouses. Attendees have the chance to talk with employers, submit qualifications, participate in job interviews, have their resumes reviewed and participate in a rotating schedule of professional development workshops led by subject matter experts on transition from military to civilian life.

Songwriting Workshop Series for Military Kids

Join Hylton Performing Arts Center for a 6-week series designed for military kids and teenagers where they will learn songwriting skills in a collaborative environment. This workshop series is FREE and open to military kids between the ages of 10 and 17. Space is limited.

It is now used extensively by people in all kinds of circumstances, and by health care and mental health systems all over the world to address all kinds of physical, mental health and life issues.

Hopeful Strategies for Senior Hoarding – CEU Event

Hoarding has become a serious problem impacting the health and safety of older adults, most of who can be resistant to treatment. This workshop will feature Joanna Frankel and is great for Case Managers and Social Workers. 1 CEU will be awarded. Please RSVP by September 6.

Local Travis Manion Foundation 9/11 Heroes Runs in September

Each year on or near September 11, local volunteers who have asked themselves “If Not Me, Then Who…” organize 9/11 Heroes Runs on behalf of TMF in more than 50 cities around the world. Runners, ruckers, and walkers of all levels and all ages come together to support TMF and honor fallen heroes. The 9/11 Heroes Run unites communities internationally with the goal to never forget the sacrifices of the heroes of September 11th and the wars since: veteran, first responder, civilian and military.
