Warrior Herd: Veterans Camaraderie Workshop – Mar 10

Project Horse Empowerment Center in Purcellville, VA is hosting a free Warrior Herd Wellness Workshop on Saturday, March 10 (applications due March 1). This workshop is for VETERANS enabling them to enjoy a restorative and enriching experience together in a serene setting. Warrior Herd is a free strengths-based, horse-powered wellness initiative designed to enhance interpersonal relationships, resiliency and rejuvenation. All horse interactions and activities occur on the ground, and no riding is involved.

Women Veteran’s Event – Mar 23

DAV Chapter 48 and the Virginia Employment Commission will host a Women Veteran's Hiring, Health and Education Event on March 23 from 9 am - 2 pm at the Northern Virginia Community College Woodbridge Campus.

ASAP is thrilled to be invited to perform at the Atlas INTERSECTIONS 2018 Festival, one of DC’s most prominent theater festivals. A handful of their veteran artists - as well as US Navy Veteran and world-touring comedian PJ Walsh - will be performing in a storytelling and stand-up comedy show entitled, "More than a Uniform.” This will be one of ASAP's most powerful performances to date. As such, they are offering free tickets to ensure the community can experience the show.

Veterans of Afghanistan and Iraq Conflicts (VAIC) Scholarship Program

The Veterans of the Afghanistan and Iraq Conflicts Scholarship Program 2018-2019 Application Available Now in MDCAPS (Maryland College Aid Processing System).  This scholarship is designed to provide financial assistance to United States armed forces personnel who served in the Afghanistan or Iraq Conflicts, and their sons, daughters, or spouses who are current high school seniors, and full-time or part-time, degree-seeking undergraduate students enrolled in an eligible accredited Maryland postsecondary institution.
