Prince George’s County Veterans Stand Down Nov 4
On Saturday, November 2nd Prince George's County will hold a Veterans Stand Down and Homeless Resource Day event. This event is intended for Prince George's County Veterans and persons who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The event will be held from 10:00am to 3:00pm at the Wayne K. Curry Sports & Learning Complex in Landover, MD.

Join the Disabled Veterans National Foundation on Thursday November 7th from 9:30am - 2:30pm for a Veterans Resource Fair. Employment Services, Resource Booths, Free Food, Comfort Kits, Gift Card and more will be distributed. This event is being held at the Silver Spring Civic Building, 1 Veterans Place.
Service Dog Study Needs Veterans
The University Of Maryland School Of Nursing has partnered with Warrior Canine Connection to conduct a research study on how training service dogs might affect PTSD and stress in veterans with PTSD. The study is currently seeking veterans to participate by training service dogs for other veterans dealing with PTSD. Participants will be compensated for their time.
Prince George’s County Veterans Resource Fair
Join County Executive Angela D. Alsobrooks, the Prince George's County Commission for Veterans and the Prince George's County Memorial Library System for the Prince George's County Maryland Veteran Resource Fair. The goal of this one day event is to connect veterans and their families to services and to strengthen veteran support within Prince George's County. Join Francis Scott Key American Legion Post 11 and DAV for a one day VA Claim Assistance and Flu Shot Event. October 11, 2019 in Frederick, MD. The DAV will hold the VA Claim Assistance Clinic from 8:00am - 4:00pm. Flu shots, shingles and pneumonia vaccines provided by Giant Pharmacy will take place from 1:00-3:00pm. Free Dental Care for Veterans October 5
The dental office of Dr. Kathleen Mullaney will be participating in Freedom Day USA, Saturday, October 5th 8am -4pm. Freedom Day USA is a national movement to offer Veterans a service like dental, optical, car care etc. Dr. Mullaney and her team will be offering free dental exams, cleanings, fluoride treatments, sealants, fillings and extractions on Freedom Day USA . Again, these are free services for former and retired military members. Please bring roof of service via a Military ID or DD214. These services will be by appointment only This event is for those Veterans who have no access to care.
