Weekend Warriors – Wellness Workshop – Sept 17

Project Horse Empowerment Center will be hosting a Weekend Warriors Walk-In Wellness Workshop on Saturday, September 17 from 10 am - 12 pm in Purcellville. This wellness workshop is for active duty and retired military and is all about reconnecting with your significant other in a relaxing environment. Workshop fee is $45 per person.

The Mental Health Summit will bring together key stakeholders and community partners with the goal of enhancing access to mental health services and addressing the mental healthcare needs of Veterans and their family members. 2017 DCoE Summit Registration is Now Open

Registration is now open for the 2017 Defense Centers of Excellence for Psychological Health and Traumatic Brain Injury Summit, “Advances in the State of the Science and Best Practices.” This year's event will provide real-time access to more than 28 hours of state-of-the-science programming, where participants can earn up to 14 hours of continuing education credits during the live event by attending psychological health sessions, TBI sessions, or a combination of both.

Longitudinal Caregivers Study Seeks Participants

Do you care for a service member or veteran who had a TBI after October 2001 while serving in the military? If so, you may be eligible to participate in a study requested by Congress. The study is currently recruiting family members, friends, or significant others who help a service member or veteran who had a traumatic brain injury after October 2001 while serving in the military.

Serve Our Willing Warriors in need of volunteers

Serve Our Willing Warriors is growing and we have been approved to construct an additional home on our land. This will enable SOWW to serve two services members and their families simultaneously. With this approval comes the need for more dedicated volunteers.
