DC Women Veteran’s Day 2019

Join the DC Mayor's Office of Veterans Affairs (MOVA) to commemorate the women of the District; who have fearlessly served our nation. Saturday, October 19th from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM in DC. Make plans to attend, and participate in a holistic health and wellness event to ensure this special demographic of our constituency receives the proper recognition for their service. MOVA aims for every woman veteran in attendance to leave the event informed and empowered regarding various resources and services available for a seamless and healthy transition into civilian life.

The American Legion Post 82 is hosting a free Veterans Stand Down Event on Tuesday, October 22nd from 10:00am - 3:00pm. The focus of the event is for veterans to connect with numerous agencies and serivce providers concerning VA Benefits, employment advice/possibilities, healthcare and much more. VA Claim Clinic and Flu Shots in Frederick

Join Francis Scott Key American Legion Post 11 and DAV for a one day VA Claim Assistance and Flu Shot Event. October 11, 2019 in Frederick, MD. The DAV will hold the VA Claim Assistance Clinic from 8:00am - 4:00pm. Flu shots, shingles and pneumonia vaccines provided by Giant Pharmacy will take place from 1:00-3:00pm. Bring ID and insurance cards.

Veteran Peer Support Group

Veteran Peer Support Groups are facilitated by veterans and designed to address the needs of Veterans, National Guard and Reservists by providing a relaxed and confidential environment to share post military and transitional experiences with other veterans. Bunker Brews App Development Event

Tuesday, October 1st from 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM EDT in Washington DC. Bring an app idea to life using Keynote for iPad. You’ll sketch an app interface and use shapes, text, and linked slides to show how the app functions. By the end of the session, you’ll have a working app prototype. Bring your iPad or one will be provided. The training is recommended for beginners interested in app development, but all are welcome! Registration is requested.

Join Northern Virginia Veterans Association for the most scrumptious Pork BBQ in the region! Along with some of the best Veteran-Owned Craft Brews and live music by Rip Tide this will be an amazing time at American Legion Post 28 in Triangle, Virginia. Saturday, October 5th from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Bring the family to enjoy more than the BBQ and Beer, there will be other fun foods and drink and a kids zone for the younger ones.
