To honor heroes who have served, supported or made sacrifices for others in the past, or who are doing so now, the City of Bowie is organizing a display of United States flags to fly in a solemn formation at Sussex Lane Park. They will fly from 7 p.m. on Friday, May 28 (Memorial Day weekend) through Sunday, June 6. Purchase a flag at www.healingfield.org/mdcityofbowie21 and dedicate it to someone special. The purchase price is $30. Any proceeds in excess of actual costs of the program will be donated to the Bowie Interfaith Food Pantry and Emergency Assistance Fund.

This Veterans Legal Assistance Training provides a forum for discussion of critical legal issues facing our veterans. It features substantive panels on hot topics in veterans law and also offers training to volunteer lawyers who commit to provide pro bono assistance to veterans in need.

This 8-hour virtual workshop covers topics such as depression, anxiety, suicide, psychosis, substance abuse and more, especially how they relate to working with our military and veteran connected populations. The workshop is provided FREE for military, veterans, their families and those who work or support them.

Cohen Military Family Clinic at Easterseals for a free, family-friendly hiking, boating, and wellness event at Lake Needwood in Rock Creek Regional Park. Saturday, June 19th from 10AM-12PM EST.
