Grocery sites are available throughout the District to provide fresh fruits, vegetables, and non-perishable groceries to families. Residents are encouraged to bring a cart and/or tote bag to transport groceries at home. Masks are required at the grocery sites. Grocery sites are open 10 am – 11:30 am.
The National Personnel Records Center (NPRC) has an expedited process for handling requests for proof of release or discharge from active duty—Department of Defense Form 2014 (DD-214)—for Veterans who are homeless or facing medical emergencies.VA staff may submit Standard Form 180 (SF-180)—Request Pertaining to Military Records—to NPRC on a Veteran’s behalf to secure his/her DD-214. Priority handling of requests allows for the expedited confirmation of eligibility for VA services.
The American Red Cross Service to the Armed Forces is offering virtual resiliency workshops to help guide members of the military and veteran communities on various topics centered around coping and communication skills.
