MST Related Claims and Appeals

The Veterans Consortium announces the expansion of the Women Veterans Legal Assistance Program. Along with bi-monthly legal advice and referral clinics, they will now assist veterans with filing initial claims or appeals for VA disability compensation for conditions related to military sexual trauma. They can also assist male veterans.

ServingTogether Regional Expansion

Mental Health First Aid

The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Easterseals is partnering with ServingTogether, a program of EveryMind to offer a Virtual Military Mental Health First Aid Training. This 8-hour virtual workshop covers topics such as depression, anxiety, suicide, psychosis, substance abuse and more, especially how they relate to working with our military and veteran connected populations. The workshop is provided FREE for military, veterans, their families and those who work or support them.

Rock Creek Park Hiking, Boating & Wellness Event for Military Families

Join Blue Star Families, Leidos, and Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Easterseals for a free, family-friendly hiking, boating, and wellness event at Lake Needwood in Rock Creek Regional Park. Saturday, June 19th from 10AM-12PM EST. This event is open to military, guard, reserve and veteran families. Each registered guest will receive a complimentary backpack and water bottle. Paddle boat rentals will be provided free of charge to registered guests and every child 18 and under will receive a Buddy Bison stuffed animal from the National Park Trust!

Wills for Virginia Veterans

The Virginia Department of Veteran Services has partnered with The Greater Richmond Bar Association, McGuireWoods Law Firm and Capital One to offer a free virtual legal services clinic to Virginia Veterans. Central Maryland Veterans Collaborative Regional Launch

Thanks to the support of the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation, EveryMind’s ServingTogether is pleased to announce that our care-coordination services and unique collaborative model are expanding into Baltimore and the Central Maryland region.

DC VETSRIDE IS BACK

The Mayor’s Office of Veterans Affairs ("MOVA") is resuming the VetsRide transportation program for District of Columbia (DC) veterans. VetsRide is a partnership between Via, Department of For-Hire Vehicles (DFHV) and MOVA that provides convenient, affordable, and efficient transportation for Veterans in DC seeking educational, health, employment, food distribution, or housing services. Program eligibility is restricted to veteran residents of Washington DC with annual income less than $30,000 or recently unemployed. VetsRide participants will receive ten, one-way ride vouchers per month with the options of rolling over two unused vouchers every month.

The Veterans Consortium’s legal clinic program is proud to announce their first virtual estate planning clinic for DC, MD, and VA veterans on Friday, April 16, 10-3 PM – by appointment only.  To determine eligibility, you must contact TVC.
