MHAMD’s Annual Legislative Briefing is the only event of its kind—bringing together hundreds of behavioral health professionals, business and nonprofit leaders, concerned citizens, and legislators during the state’s legislative session to learn about public policy issues that will impact Marylanders’ behavioral health care.
Maryland Army National Guard Seeking Support for Soldiers and Staff at COVID-19 Testing Sites
"At this point, the units I support in the Western/Northern Maryland area have established known sites at Garrett Memorial, Frederick Memorial, Meritus Medical Center (Hagerstown), Laurel ACS, MedStar - St. Mary's. Various other sites will be established throughout the state in time. Operations will expand and decrease as the situation changes. There are 20 -25 Soldiers per site augmented by 20-25 Health professional staff per shift. One shift per day. Most sites run 0800-1500, 7 days a week. They work through the lunch hour, Soldiers and staff eat as they are able. Some Soldiers are staying in local hotels, a majority will commute."
