VET Center Registration & Referral at the Library

Mondays through September at the Gaithersburg and Germantown Libraries the Silver Spring VET Center will hold walk in times for referrals and to get connected to the Vet Center and VA services. VET Centers provide quality readjustment counseling in a caring manner. The staff understands and appreciates Veterans' war experiences while assisting them and their family members toward a successful post-war adjustment in or near their community. Services are free to eligible veterans and their families.

Exploring Stress and Trauma June 20th

Presented by the American Red Cross and hosted by the Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic This workshop is designed to help veterans and their families recognize and manage post deployment stress and other war related concerns, including trauma issues. Left unaddressed, stress and trauma can lead to a variety of negative outcomes for the veteran and their families. Wednesday, June 20th from 6:30-8:30pm. Registration is required. Telehealth Intake Appointments Available at Fort Belvoir

The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Easterseals has recently launched telehealth services for veterans and their families. Beginning June 1, 2018, they will offer intake appointments at the USO on Fort Belvoir every Friday from 10 am - 1 pm.
