Warrior Herd: Family Workshops – Feb 10
Project Horse Empowerment Center in Purcellville, VA is hosting a free Warrior Herd™ Wellness Workshop on Saturday, February 10 (applications due February 1). This workshop is for FAMILIES, enabling veterans and family members to enjoy a restorative and enriching experience together in a serene setting. Warrior Herd™ is a free strengths-based, horse-powered wellness initiative designed to enhance interpersonal relationships, resiliency and rejuvenation. All horse interactions and activities occur on the ground, and no riding is involved.

Microsoft Store at Tysons Corner Center offering free training for veterans
Starting in January 2018 the Microsoft Store at Tysons Corner Center has agreed to provide training for Veterans at no cost! All Veterans are eligible. Classes will be held on the 1st, 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month from 6 PM to 7:30 PM at the Microsoft Store, Tysons Corner Center. Classes include: LinkedIn-how to launch and grow your profile (1st Wednesday), SWAY & EXCELL (2nd Wednesday), Office Word & Internet Safety (4th Wednesday).

Monthly VETOGA Classes
VETOGA will be holding monthly Yoga classes in Northern Virginia. These classes are free for veterans and active service personnel.
Veterans Curation Program Open House
The Alexandria Veterans Curation Program invites all to an open house and Meet and Greet at the Alexandria Laboratory on Thursday, January 11th from 10am to 2pm. This is an opportunity to meet the veterans and find out more about the program. RSVP's are required and still being accepted.
Veteran’s Ski Trip – Jan 11-13
Heroes on the River is partnering with Two Top Mountain Adaptive to bring five veterans on a ski trip to Whitetail Resort on January 11 and January 13. To participate in this event, veterans or active duty military are required to have at least a 1% disability rating according to the requirements of Two Top. The deadline is Monday, January 8, 2018.
Salute to the Armed Forces – Jan 23
The Prince William Chamber of Commerce will be holding their annual Salute to the Armed Forces on Tuesday, January 23 from 11 am - 2 pm at the Clubs at Quantico & Crossroads Events Center. Featuring Captain DeShauna Barber, U.S. Army Reserve & Miss USA 2016. Tickets are $45 for Chamber members and $60 for non-members. Ticket includes lunch.
