LAST OUT: Elegy of a Green Beret

Last Out—Elegy of a Green Beret, a play written and performed by Ret. Lt. Col. Scott Mann, tells the story of Army Green Beret Danny Patton’s battles that range from tribal Afghanistan to his own living room . This play is intended to validate the sacrifices and struggles of warriors and their families, and is performed and staged by an all-veteran/veteran family cast and crew. Discount tickets available for veterans and their families. This play runs May 24th and 25th at the Richard J Ernst Community Cultural Center in Annandale, VA.

Free Legal Assistance – Military Discharge Upgrades

The Veterans Consortium offers free legal assistance through their Military Discharge Upgrade Clinics. Free representation for veterans with Other Than Honorable discharges related to PTSD, TBI or similar mental health conditions.

Free Dental Care for Veterans

Aspen Dental is offering free dental care for veterans on their Day of Service, Saturday, June 8th from 9am-3pm. There are several participating dental practices all over the National Capital Region. Appointments required. Beginning May 1st you can call 844-ASPEN-HMM to find location and make appointments.

Chronic Pain Management in the Veteran Community

The Veterans' Action League 2.0 is currently seeking individuals to help shape the future of chronic pain management in the veteran community. Please join them for an informational meeting on June 10 from 6-8PM at the GMU Recreational and AThletic Complex in Fairfax, VA. Dinner and compensation included.

Silver Spring VET Center Open House

Veterans, active duty & military families, please join the Silver Spring VET Center as they celebrate their 40th Anniversary with an Open House on June 20th from 10:00am-3:00pm. Vet Centers are community-based counseling centers that provide a wide range of social and psychological services, including professional readjustment counseling to eligible Veterans, active duty service members, including National Guard and Reserve components, and their families.

Legal Rights and Discharge Upgrade Clinic

Prince George's County Office of Veteran Affairs and Lawyers Serving Warriors present "Know Your Rights Information Session and Discharge Upgrade Clinic: on May 17 from 9:30 AM - 3:30 PM. Attend an informational session on corrections of military records and upgrading less than fully honorable discharges followed by individual consultations with attorneys. Walk ins welcome.

Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum Free Admission to Military

For the 9th consecutive year, the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in St. Michaels, Md. is participating in the national Blue Star Museums program to offer free, general admission to the nation’s active-duty military personnel and their spouses/partners and up to three children from Armed Forces Day on May 18 through Labor Day on Sept. 2.
