Mental Health First Aid for Military and Veteran Serving Partners
ServingTogether, a program of EveryMind is proud to offer a Virtual Adult Mental Health First Aid Training on Thursday, July 8 from 9 am - 4:30 pm. This 8-hour virtual workshop covers topics such as depression, anxiety, suicide, psychosis, substance abuse and more. Join in with other military and veteran partners to share how they relate to working with our military and veteran connected populations. The workshop is provided FREE for military and veteran serving organizations. Military, veterans and their families are also welcome to join!
Rock Creek Park Hiking, Boating & Wellness Event for Military Families
Join Blue Star Families, Leidos, and Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Easterseals for a free, family-friendly hiking, boating, and wellness event at Lake Needwood in Rock Creek Regional Park. Saturday, June 19th from 10AM-12PM EST. This event is open to military, guard, reserve and veteran families. Each registered guest will receive a complimentary backpack and water bottle. Paddle boat rentals will be provided free of charge to registered guests and every child 18 and under will receive a Buddy Bison stuffed animal from the National Park Trust!

Salute to Service: Military Children
Join the Virginia War Memorial to celebrate the Month of the Military Child with a special edition of Salute to Service. This program will explore and celebrate the experiences of dependent children of military families. This livestream event will feature Martha Martin and Brandy Disbennett-Albrecht about their childhoods, growing up in Navy and Coast Guard families, and all of the sacrifices military children make for the community.
