Voices of Experience: Living Well with Mental Illness

NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Maryland and its local affiliate, NAMI Southern Maryland, are hosting Voices of Experience: Living Well with Mental Illness © for the first time ever in Southern Maryland on January 14, 2020.  This free program features trained speakers who share their personal journeys with mental illness and recovery.  There will also be a paid, pre-event reception for sponsors, decision makers, influencers, speakers, and other VIPs. 

Veterans and the Arts Initiative Spring 2020 Programs

University of Maryland Study Seeks Veterans

Have you experienced a traumatic event in your life? Do thoughts about this experience affect you now? Do you use alcohol to get relief?  The University of Maryland is conducting a research study of a medication that may help people who have experienced a traumatic event feel better and drink less. Veterans are encouraged to participate in this study.
