Stars and Stripes Night with Frederick Keys
Join Coalition to Salute America's Heroes on July 3rd at Stars and Stripes Night with the Frederick Keys vs. the Lynchburg Hillcats. The Stars and Stripes night at the ballpark will feature special military and veteran programming including Fireworks, Patriotic Hat Auction, and Fundraising for Heroes. Each ticket purchased for this game donates a ticket to a local veteran, active duty military or first responder. Comedy Writing Workshop with Carter Bays
Join Armed Services Arts Partnership for an exciting comedy writing workshop with How I Met Your Mother (HIMYM) co-creator Carter Bays! Learn how to write a pilot for a television series, from concept to outline to script. Topics will include creating strong characters, crafting a compelling story, and translating it all onto the page. Two sessions available: Saturday, June 22nd from 2-5pm and Sunday, June 23rd from 10am-1pm. Registration is required.
LAST OUT: Elegy of a Green Beret
Last Out—Elegy of a Green Beret, a play written and performed by Ret. Lt. Col. Scott Mann, tells the story of Army Green Beret Danny Patton’s battles that range from tribal Afghanistan to his own living room . This play is intended to validate the sacrifices and struggles of warriors and their families, and is performed and staged by an all-veteran/veteran family cast and crew. Discount tickets available for veterans and their families. This play runs May 24th and 25th at the Richard J Ernst Community Cultural Center in Annandale, VA.
Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum Free Admission to Military
For the 9th consecutive year, the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in St. Michaels, Md. is participating in the national Blue Star Museums program to offer free, general admission to the nation’s active-duty military personnel and their spouses/partners and up to three children from Armed Forces Day on May 18 through Labor Day on Sept. 2.

Join the Workhouse Military in the Arts Initiative this May on Saturday May 18th for an Armed Forces Day Open house Celebration! May 18th from 12:00 - 3:00 PM. They will have activities for the whole family, regardless of Military affiliation. This is a free event.
ASAP Acting Workshop
Presented by Armed Services Arts Partnership (ASAP), this workshop is designed for actors and non-actors that are curious about the Meisner Approach. This workshop will take place on Saturday, May 18th, from 1 PM – 4 PM at the Capitol Post (625 N Washington St, Suite 425, Alexandria, VA 22314) and is open to/free for all veterans, service members, military family members, and caregivers. Registration is required.
Exploring Identity with Women Veterans
Join Hylton Performing Arts Center's Veterans and the Arts Initiative for a reception and exhibition of art produced during a four-part workshop series that explored Women Veteran identities through photography. Horses Help Heroes Host Event December 29th in Bowie, MD
