The MD Department of Labor ’s Virtual Veteran Career Club is designed to provide veterans seeking employment or looking to enhance their career opportunities with resources, support and guidance. Participation gives you a chance to hear what fellow veterans are experiencing and learn best practices to assist with your career. Veteran Employment Program professionals are also on hand to answer questions about registration in Maryland ’s Workforce Exchange as well as special guests and collaborative community partners who service our proud veteran community.
The Mayor’s Office of Veterans Affairs ("MOVA") is resuming the VetsRide transportation program for District of Columbia (DC) veterans. VetsRide is a partnership between Via, Department of For-Hire Vehicles (DFHV) and MOVA that provides convenient, affordable, and efficient transportation for Veterans in DC seeking educational, health, employment, food distribution, or housing services. Program eligibility is restricted to veteran residents of Washington DC with annual income less than $30,000 or recently unemployed. VetsRide participants will receive ten, one-way ride vouchers per month with the options of rolling over two unused vouchers every month.
