Run as One in DC – April 13th

Run As One is a unique engagement opportunity where members of Team Red, White & Blue, Team Rubicon, and The Mission Continues, along with members of their community and veteran supporters come together for a day of solidarity to showcase how exercise, community, and inclusivity combine to combat mental health challenges. The local Run As One even will be held in Washington, D.C. on Saturday, April 13. Participants will begin gathering at 8:30 a.m. at the American Red Cross (1730 E Street NW, Washington, DC 20006) and head toward our starting point on the National Mall at 9 a.m. There will be 2 options to accommodate all interests, including a 3-mile run and a 2-mile ruck/walk. Year of the Veteran Celebration and Resource Fair

Monday, April 8th 4:00-8:00 PM Howard Community College. Join Howard County Office of Veterans and Military Families in celebrating The Year of the Veteran proclamation by our MD Governor with refreshments, music by Voice of Vets, professional attire/suit giveway, and more than 40 government agencies, nonprofits and veteran service organizations that provide services or programs for our veterans and military families. Premier Health Express Urgent Care, an authorized Warrior Centric Health Clinic, will provide medical and dental screenings. The event is FREE and open to the public.

Opioid Epidemic Workshop with Congressman David Trone

A workshop hosted by Congressman David Trone to discuss ow the opioid epidemic has affected residents of the 6th Maryland district and the steps to combat addiction. The workshop will feature a panel discussion of leading experts in the field. There will also be representatives from local and regional organizations who will provide resources and information regarding the opioid epidemic.

Montgomery County COAD Stop the Bleed Training

Stop the Bleed is a national awareness campaign and call-to-action to encourage bystanders to become trained, equipped, and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives.
